Terms of use

The terms on which this site and our consultations are provided, including the limits of the information published here.

The site is information only

Content on this site is general information about perimenopause and menopause.

It is not medical advice. It is not tailored to you, it does not account for your history, your other conditions or anything you take, and it does not replace consulting a practitioner who can assess your individual situation.

Reading this site does not create a doctor–patient relationship. That begins when you have a consultation with one of our doctors.

The symptom check

The symptom check records what you tell it and organises it for discussion with a doctor. It does not diagnose, stage or grade anything, and it does not recommend treatment.

A summary means only that you answered those questions that way. It is a conversation aid, nothing more.

Consultations

Every consultation is a real-time video or phone appointment with a doctor registered in Australia. We do not assess or prescribe by questionnaire.

No outcome is guaranteed. Your doctor will discuss the options that suit your situation. What is appropriate for you is a clinical judgement made with you, not something this site can promise in advance.

Your doctor may decline to provide a particular treatment, or may refer you elsewhere, if that is the right clinical decision. That is them doing their job.

Some things need an in-person examination. Where that applies, your doctor will tell you and help you find where to go.

We are not an emergency service. If this is an emergency, call 000.

Booking, payment and cancellation

[To be completed before the booking system goes live: payment terms, what happens if you need to reschedule, the cancellation window, refund circumstances, and how membership billing and cancellation work.]

Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your responsibilities

Give accurate information. A doctor can only work with what you tell them, and an incomplete history can lead to a decision that is wrong for you.

Tell your doctor about every medicine, supplement and herbal preparation you take. Interactions matter.

Follow up as advised, and get back in touch if something changes.

Accuracy

We take care to be accurate, cite sources, and have clinical content reviewed by a doctor. Medical understanding changes, and a page may not reflect the most recent developments. We make no warranty that content is complete, current or error-free.

Our medical review policy sets out how content is checked and how often.

Links to other sites are provided for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its general content.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here limits a practitioner's professional obligations to you.

Complaints

Tell us first — our contact page has the details, and we would rather fix it.

You can also complain about a registered health practitioner to the health complaints body in your state or territory, or to Ahpra, at any time. You do not need our permission and we will not obstruct you.

Privacy

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

Intellectual property
